Girl, 4, dies and woman arrested after house fire in Manchester

A four-year-old girl has died in a house fire in Manchester, with emergency services responding to the blaze in Rusholme at 12.35pm. Despite being rescued, the girl later succumbed to her injuries in hospital. A 44-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, as churchgoers from a nearby church offered support to the devastated family.
