Emergency services responding to fire at Spring Hill Prison, ‘developing incident’

Spring Hill Prison is currently on lockdown following an incident where inmates set fires and began damaging property. Commissioner Leigh Marsh reported that 10 prisoners are involved, with some refusing to leave the exercise yard, prompting attendance from Fire and Emergency New Zealand.
