The tournament was originally scheduled to take place at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, which was affected by a recent wildfire. Woods expressed gratitude to San Diego for hosting the event and supporting those affected by the fires. The PGA Tour stated that the tournament is expected to return to Riviera in 2026, while Torrey Pines will host this year’s event and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics golf events.
