Gaza’s civil defense agency reported that Israeli forces killed at least 36 Palestinians, including six near a US-backed aid distribution center in Rafah, amid ongoing violence following Hamas’s October 2023 attack on Israel. The Israeli military claimed the troops fired warning shots at individuals posing a threat, while an aid boat with activists, including Greta Thunberg, approached Gaza to address the humanitarian crisis exacerbated by the blockade. The overall toll from the conflict has reached 54,772 in Gaza, with international criticism mounting over the humanitarian situation.
