Gaza ceasefire begins after delay as Hamas names hostages to be released Sunday

Displaced Palestinians began returning to their homes in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, following a ceasefire in Gaza that was delayed due to Hamas not providing the names of the three female hostages it planned to release. The truce, aimed at ending the war triggered by an October 2023 Hamas attack, was greeted with celebrations, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that military action would continue until the names were provided.
