Aid groups in Gaza, including the World Food Programme, are facing dwindling food supplies due to Israel’s blockade, which is threatening the 2 million residents of the territory with hunger. The resumption of Israeli airstrikes has further hindered aid distribution efforts, resulting in shortages of flour and other essential items. The World Food Programme has only two weeks of food supplies left and is calling for Israel to reopen border crossings to allow tens of thousands of tons of food supplies to enter Gaza.
