Starting Monday, all Australian families will have access to three days of subsidised childcare per week, regardless of parental occupation, as part of the Albanese Government’s reforms. This initiative aims to increase access to early education, especially for families previously unable to afford it, with an estimated 100,000 families set to benefit. The policy removes the previous activity test, facilitating workforce participation for around 40,000 parents. Education Minister Jess Walsh emphasizes the importance of equal access to quality early learning for every child.
