Fuzzy Zoeller, two-time golf champion, dies at 74

Fuzzy Zoeller, a two-time major champion and beloved figure in golf, passed away at 74, as confirmed by the PGA Tour. Renowned for his talent and humor, Zoeller won the Masters in 1979 and the U.S. Open in 1984, but his legacy was marred by a racially insensitive joke about Tiger Woods in 1997. Despite this, he was celebrated for his fast-paced, easygoing style on the course and received numerous accolades, including the USGA’s Bob Jones Award. He is survived by three children, following the passing of his wife, Diane, in 2021.
