Morrisons plans to close over 100 locations, including cafes, florists, pharmacies, and convenience stores, as part of a restructuring initiative to address rising costs and optimize operations. The supermarket has already shut down 50 cafes and 17 convenience stores, with the closure of 18 Market Kitchens and 35 meat and fish counters also expected. Chief executive Rami Baitiéh described these closures as necessary to focus on customer-valued investments. The company aims to mitigate financial challenges while continuing to provide affordable food.
