Florida State University is targeting running back recruit Terriel Harmon from West Boca Raton, Florida, for the 2028 recruiting class. Harmon announced his scholarship offer from the Seminoles on social media, expressing his gratitude by stating he feels “blessed” to receive the opportunity. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound athlete currently holds nearly ten scholarship offers, including those from Miami, Indiana, Georgia Tech, and Syracuse. Harmon gained attention during his freshman year at Centennial High School, where he accumulated 814 rushing yards and scored eight touchdowns, averaging 7.3 yards per carry. As a sophomore, he played in six games, recording 130 rushing yards, four touchdowns, and 100 receiving yards with an additional score. Harmon has yet to visit the Florida State campus and is currently unranked.

Why It Matters

This recruitment highlights Florida State’s ongoing efforts to build a strong roster for the future, particularly in the running back position. Harmon’s impressive freshman performance, where he averaged over seven yards per carry, showcases his potential as a top recruit and may influence the Seminoles’ offensive strategy moving forward. The competition for Harmon includes several notable programs, indicating his rising profile in the college football landscape. Florida State’s ability to secure talented recruits like Harmon will be crucial for the team’s success in upcoming seasons, especially as they aim to improve their standing in the highly competitive Atlantic Coast Conference.
