Sami Hamdi describes ICE detention conditions

British journalist Sami Hamdi was detained for over two weeks by US immigration authorities after being stopped at San Francisco International Airport while on a speaking tour about Israel’s actions in Gaza. He claims his detention was politically motivated, initiated by right-wing activists who sought to revoke his visa. Hamdi described his experience as resembling a movie scene, highlighting the aggressive behavior of ICE agents and the bureaucratic delays faced by detainees. He emphasized the broader issue of arbitrary detention affecting freedom of speech, linking his case to the plight of Palestinian prisoners.
