In New Delhi, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval emphasized the importance of free flow of thoughts to prevent conflicts related to religious identities, highlighting the need for conflict resolution and introspection by states and societies. His comments were made during the release of the Hindi version of Ahmet T Kuru’s book ‘Islam Authoritarianism: Underdevelopment – A Global and Historical Comparison’, discussing the relationship between state and religion in a broader context. Former Union minister MJ Akbar also spoke at the event, noting the practicality of Sufism in promoting non-hostile relationships within Islam.
