French President Emmanuel Macron has proposed a one-month truce between Moscow and Kyiv that excludes ground combat, focusing on air, sea, and energy infrastructure fighting. Macron stated that European troops will not be deployed to Ukraine in the near future, with a potential deployment contingent on peace negotiations. Macron also emphasized the need for increased defense spending and innovative financing, as well as strategic ambiguity regarding the possibility of sending Western troops to Ukraine.
