MONTMELO, Spain (AP) — The Spanish Grand Prix, the ninth round of the 2025 Formula 1 season, will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday, starting at 3 p.m. local time (9 a.m. ET). In the last race, Lando Norris secured his first win of the season at the Monaco Grand Prix, closing in on teammate Oscar Piastri, who leads the standings by three points. Notably, if Norris or Piastri qualify on pole position, it will mark McLaren’s 170th pole, while Fernando Alonso enters this race without a point for only the third time in his career.
