Former Trump campaign adviser charged with working for sanctioned Russian media

Former Trump adviser Dimitri Simes was charged by the Department of Justice for his work with sanctioned Russian state TV company Channel One, accepting and laundering over $1 million in compensation. The DOJ alleges that Simes also received a personal car, driver, apartment stipend, and team of employees as part of his illegal activities. These actions violated sanctions and guidelines put in place to prevent such illicit behavior.
