Former Northeastern admissions councilor gets 5 years on child porn charges

Beau Christopher Benson, 36, a former admissions counselor at Northeastern University, was sentenced to five years in prison for receiving child sexual abuse material via Zoom chat rooms. He recorded and saved videos depicting child sexual abuse, as well as uploaded files containing child sex assault material to his Dropbox account. Benson’s case was part of Project Safe Childhood, aiming to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
