Former Latvian Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins expressed serious concern about the potential shift in the Trump administration’s posture towards Russia following comments made at the Munich Security Conference. He emphasized the importance of Europe increasing military spending to meet NATO obligations. Karins also questioned the exclusion of Europe from negotiations and victim-blaming towards Ukraine, warning of the consequences if the U.S. is viewed as a weak ally by Russia and China.
