Former Chicago Ald. Ed Burke, the city’s longest-serving alderman, will begin his two-year prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Terre Haute, Indiana on Monday. The 80-year-old was convicted of corruption charges for illegally using his power to gain private law business and was also fined $2 million. In June, Burke was sentenced to prison, marking the end of a lengthy political career marred by scandal.
