Adam Caporn, a 42-year-old assistant coach with the NBA’s Washington Wizards, has been appointed as the head coach of the Boomers following the departure of Brian Goorjian. Caporn previously coached Basketball Australia’s centre of excellence and worked with the G-League’s Long Island Nets and NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. Melbourne United coach Dean Vickerman will serve as the associate head coach to cover for Caporn’s NBA commitments, with Caporn expressing gratitude for the opportunity and mentorship from previous coaches.
