In Jawadhu Hills, Tiruvannamalai, tribal youth are moving away from illegal activities like cutting red sanders to pursue education and government jobs. Through free coaching provided by the Forest Department, 22 tribal youth, including girls, successfully cleared the TNPSC Group IV examinations and secured positions like forest watchers. The initiative, suggested by a former DFO, aimed to empower unemployed educated tribal youth and promote conservation efforts in the hills through government service.
