Ford Vehicle Recall

Ford is recalling approximately 119,000 vehicles due to a defect in engine block heaters that poses a fire risk, as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The affected models include certain 2016-2018 Focus, 2019 Explorer, and 2024 Explorer vehicles, among others with 2.0L engines. Owners are advised not to use the block heaters until repairs are made, which will be performed for free by dealers. Interim notification letters will be mailed on February 13, with further updates expected by April.
