Mapped: England’s worst areas for fly-tipping revealed as cases top 1.1 million

Local councils in England have reported a record 1.15 million fly-tipping incidents in 2023/24, a 6% increase from the previous year. These figures only include rubbish dumped on public land, with farmers and rural businesses facing additional costs and stress from waste left on private land. Household waste accounted for 60% of cases, with pavements and roads being the most common locations for fly-tipping.
