Florida schedules execution date for home invasion gunman

A death warrant was signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for Frank Athen Walls, 58, who is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on December 18 for the 1987 murders of Edward Alger and Ann Peterson during a home invasion. This execution will mark the 19th in Florida in 2025, a record pace set by DeSantis. Walls, previously convicted of multiple murders, confessed to additional killings after his original conviction was overturned. His attorneys plan to appeal to both the Florida and U.S. Supreme Courts.
