Flight cancellations and evacuations as China prepares for Typhoon Dolphin

More than 1,600 flights have been cancelled and around 500,000 people evacuated as Typhoon Dolphin approaches China’s eastern coast, packing winds of up to 162 km/h. The National Meteorological Center issued a red alert, predicting heavy rain and potential flooding, particularly in Shanghai and Zhejiang. The storm has already impacted northern Taiwan, causing flight cancellations and ferry suspensions, while Okinawa reported injuries and power outages.
