Qantas is progressing with the production of its first Airbus A350-1000ULR for ultra-long-range Project Sunrise flights to London and New York, with key components assembled at Airbus’s Toulouse facility. The first of 12 A350-1000ULRs is expected to be delivered in late 2026, with test flights beginning next year. These aircraft will feature a 22-hour non-stop capability, enhanced passenger comfort, and a unique Wellbeing Zone. Additionally, Qantas will launch Economy Plus for domestic and short-haul flights in February 2026, offering extra legroom and priority services.
