Four members of the Howick Volunteer Fire Brigade, Chloe Mackey, James Mason, Gordon Symons, and Darren Stuck, are participating in the Firefighter Sky Tower Challenge to raise money for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer NZ by climbing 1103 steps over 51 floors in New Zealand’s tallest building. They are fundraising at the Howick Village Saturday market and online, with personal motivations including community support, personal connections to cancer, and health challenges.
