Fiorentina has decided not to activate their €17m option to buy Iceland international Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa following his loan move, although a permanent transfer remains possible. The club may seek a €4m-€5m discount or negotiate a new loan for the 2025-26 season with an obligation to buy, amid interest from other Serie A teams.
