Finnish National Police Commissioner Ilkka Koskimäki attended a press conference in Helsinki, Finland to investigate the cut electricity transmission between Finland and Estonia through the Estlink 2 connection. The ship Eagle S, linked to Russia’s shadow fleet, was detained by Finnish authorities for suspected damage to a Baltic Sea power cable. The incident is part of a series of attacks on critical infrastructure in the region, prompting the EU to consider further measures, including sanctions. Estonian government officials met to discuss the incident, linking the shadow tankers to aiding Russian hybrid attacks.
