Fine for blogger who claimed in video that Josephine Teo made offensive remarks against Malays

SINGAPORE: Blogger Manmeet Singh Bahadar Singh was fined S$6,000 for posting a TikTok video that falsely accused Minister Josephine Teo of making offensive remarks about Malays. Singh shared the claims without verifying their authenticity after receiving a link to a blog post from an unknown source. He later removed the video and apologized when he suspected the allegations were false, but was arrested for promoting racial disharmony.
