In northwestern Pakistan, fighting between armed Sunni and Shiite groups in Kurram district has resulted in the deaths of at least 33 people and injuries to 25 others. Tensions between the two communities have escalated, leading to violence, arson, and ongoing gunfire in the area. This latest incident follows a deadly gun ambush that killed 42 people and has reignited sectarian animosity in the region.
