Feds bust massive alleged Guatemalan human smuggling ring operating out of California

Federal agents arrested two Guatemalan men accused of running a major human smuggling operation in the U.S., moving 20,000 illegal immigrants since 2019. Eduardo Domingo Renoj-Matul and Cristobal Mejia-Chaj appeared in court and face potential death penalty if convicted. Two other men are also charged, with one behind bars for a deadly car crash involving migrants.
