Teen Survives Throat Slash on Daytona Beach Boardwalk

The family of 13-year-old Sullivan Clarke, who survived a near-fatal throat slashing on Daytona Beach, is outraged that the suspect, Jermaine Lynn Long, was released from jail just four days prior despite a lengthy criminal record, including pending charges for previous assaults. Sullivan was attacked with a box cutter while walking with his parents, narrowly avoiding fatal injuries. Long, a registered sex offender, now faces two counts of aggravated battery and was granted a $50,000 bond.
