A £14,250 Fabergé egg, known as the Octopussy egg, has been recovered from a man in Auckland who allegedly swallowed it six days prior. Crafted from gold and adorned with 183 diamonds and two sapphires, the egg reveals an 18-carat gold octopus when opened. Despite its unusual journey through the man’s gastrointestinal tract, its value remains unchanged, and it will be returned to Fabergé. The man has been charged with theft and related offenses.
