F-15 fighters arrive in Middle East: US military

American F-15 fighter planes arrived in the Middle East as part of a deployment of additional assets by the US military to the region as a warning to Iran. The US Central Command announced the arrival of F-15E Strike Eagles from the 492nd Fighter Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, England, following the announcement of sending bombers, fighter and tanker aircraft, and ballistic missile defense destroyers. The Pentagon stated that the US will defend its personnel and interests in the region if Iran or its partners target them, amidst escalating tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
