External review clears Gates Foundation of wrongdoing in Epstein connections

The Gates Foundation’s external review found no evidence of wrongdoing involving convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The review, conducted by WilmerHale, revealed that the foundation engaged with Epstein on two occasions from 2011 to 2014, including a proposed donor-advised fund that was not pursued. The foundation has since implemented new safeguards for vetting donors and partners. Warren Buffett recently announced he would stop donating to the Gates Foundation.
