His victory secured India’s seventh gold medal in the French Capital after Iranian athlete Beit Sayah Sadegh was disqualified for violating rule 8.1 of the World Para Athletics Rules and Regulations, initially finishing ahead of Navdeep with a Paralympic Games record of 47.65 metres.
