Deputy in Vice Media Cocaine Case Avoids Jail Time

When five young drug mules, including four Canadians and one American, were arrested in Australia in 2015 with over $22 million in cocaine, evidence revealed their recruitment by Yaroslav Pastukhov, a Vice editor, and his associate Ali Lalji. While Pastukhov was convicted and served time, Lalji, who pleaded not guilty and is appealing his conviction, has remained out on bail since his arrest in January 2019.
