The US has charged former Indian intelligence officer Vikash Yadav for a failed plot to kill Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in New York City, with charges of murder-for-hire and money laundering. Yadav, accused of coordinating the assassination attempt, allegedly recruited Nikhil Gupta to carry out the hit, leading to Gupta’s arrest and extradition to the US. Indian officials confirmed Yadav is no longer associated with the government, with a US court issuing a summons to the Indian government over Pannun’s civil suit, labeling it “completely unwarranted.”
