Ex-husband of ‘Real Housewives’ star sentenced to more than a year in prison, owes $2.5 million

Peter Thomas, ex-husband of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey, has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for not paying taxes on his nightclubs in Charlotte, Miami, and Baltimore. Thomas collected over $1.7 million in trust fund taxes but used the money for personal expenses, including luxury purchases. In addition to prison time, Thomas must pay over $2.5 million in restitution and serve two years of supervised release.
