Ireland is set to receive 17 generators from the European Union following a request for assistance due to Storm Éowyn, with 13 generators mobilized from the EU’s strategic reserve in Poland and 4 from Denmark. Crews from Austria and Finland have arrived to help restore power to 168,000 households and businesses, while additional support is expected from France and the Netherlands. Despite power being restored to 600,000 premises, up to 100,000 are likely to remain without power for the rest of the week, with 31,000 people still without water.
