The European Commission has disbursed an additional €1 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine as part of a G7 loan, to be repaid with proceeds from frozen Russian assets. This brings the total contribution to €18.1 billion through the Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) program, with Ukraine already receiving €4 billion this year. The EU has provided almost €140 billion in total support to Ukraine since Russia’s invasion, including financial aid, military assistance, and resources from frozen Russian assets.
