Erik Menendez, one of the brothers convicted for the 1989 murders of their parents, has been denied parole after a hearing at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, with the board citing his troubling behavior and risk to public safety. Despite the decision, there remains a possibility for clemency from Governor Gavin Newsom and a separate hearing for Erik’s brother, Lyle.
