Emma Atkinson, a heavily pregnant woman, tragically fell from her father’s tower block flat in Leeds and died from multiple injuries, but her baby, named Posie, miraculously survived the fall and was delivered in hospital five weeks premature with a fractured leg. The inquest opening in Wakefield revealed that Ms Atkinson, a mother-of-five, was visiting her father at the time of the incident and was identified by him. The area coroner stated that an inquest into her death will be conducted at a later date to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
