A 14-year-old boy is in serious condition in hospital after colliding with a car while riding his e-bike in Claremont.

Emergency services responded to the accident on Stirling Highway near Freshwater Parade around 11 am on Saturday, where the teenager sustained significant leg injuries but is not in life-threatening condition.

He was transported to Perth Children’s Hospital, with witnesses suggesting he was trapped under the vehicle for some time.

Police and major crash detectives are investigating the incident, which involved an all-black Land Rover Defender and a wrecked e-bike found nearby.
