Elvis Smylie won the BMW Australian PGA Championship, defeating his golfing idol Cameron Smith. Smylie secured his first DP World Tour title, overcoming a challenging back nine and finishing at 14 under par. Smylie credited his short game for his success and expressed gratitude towards his family for their support. Marc Leishman also competed in the final group but fell short of the leaders.
