Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty of Egypt expressed readiness to host talks on Iran to support de-escalation, aligning with Donald Trump’s call for negotiations. He emphasized the hope for direct negotiations between the two sides.
Why It Matters
This development is significant as it indicates Egypt’s willingness to play a role in facilitating diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States. With tensions between the two countries escalating, the potential for direct negotiations could help ease tensions and promote stability in the region. Egypt’s involvement in this process could have broader implications for Middle East diplomacy and regional security.
