In September, Conservative, Bloc Quebecois, and NDP MPs requested documentation on Sustainable Development Technology Canada, a federally-funded body that supported green companies. Conservative House leader Andrew Scheer called for the Liberals to be held in contempt for not responding to the request, citing a precedent from the Ontario Legislature in 2012 involving former Premier Dalton McGuinty and the cancellation of two gas-fired generating plants. Opposition politicians questioned the Liberals’ cost estimate and requested all related correspondence.
