Eddie Bauer Bankruptcy
Eddie Bauer has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the third time in its 106-year history, as announced on Monday. The Bellevue, Washington-based outdoor retailer, which operates about 180 stores in the U.S. and Canada, will continue its retail operations while winding down some locations; its e-commerce and wholesale units remain unaffected. CEO Marc Rosen cited declining sales, supply chain issues, and tariff uncertainties as contributing factors to the decision. Founded in 1920, Eddie Bauer gained prominence for its outdoor gear, including military outerwear during World War I.
