Eastern Ladakh row: India, China agree to work with ‘urgency’ to realise complete disengagement

India and China agreed to work urgently to achieve complete disengagement in remaining friction points in eastern Ladakh during talks between NSA Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in St Petersburg. Doval emphasized the importance of peace and tranquillity in border areas and respect for the Line of Actual Control for normalcy in bilateral ties. The focus was on resolving the lingering border standoff with a renewed effort to de-escalate tensions and maintain stability in the region.
