Earthquake in El Paso? 5.0 magnitude quake hits West Texas late Friday

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake struck western Texas late Friday, Feb. 14, around 33 miles northwest of Toyah, nearly 190 miles from El Paso, with strong shaking felt in the area. The National Weather Service office in El Paso reported feeling a 2.6 magnitude aftershock, following the initial quake, with no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
